The Messner Mountain Museums are not classical venues. They are spaces that have emerged from the engagement with mountains, people and the landscape. Each location brings its own conditions – spatially, thematically and atmospherically. Not everything is possible everywhere. But much becomes possible when it suits the place.
Events at the MMM are usually designed to be minimal: discussions, lectures, small receptions or selected formats that allow space for concentration. Photographic works and photoshoots can also be part of this use – as can wedding celebrations that consciously embrace the character of the location. The place plays its part. In its silence, its height, its history.
Framework conditions:
Events are organised in coordination with the event coordinator and the respective venue. They are tailored to the spatial conditions and the character of the location. There are no standardised offers. Each event is designed individually.
